Last Friday saw the retirement of two of the most senior members of the Bainbridge team. At a reception held at the corporate office in Canton, MA we said thank you and goodbye to both Alan Meyers and Anne Cleaves, who between them have over seventy-six years of experience and memories at the company.
For thirty-six years, Anne held responsibility for the Accounts Payable Department ensuring that our valued vendors were paid on time and was a great ambassador for the organization.
In 1981, Alan returned from working in Italy and joined the start-up Aquabatten company, bringing new batten technology to the sailing world and later was at the helm as it merged with the Bainbridge sailcloth company and became Bainbridge Aquabatten Inc., and later on as Bainbridge International Inc.
Although they will both be deeply missed, we wish them the very best in this new chapter of their lives.
