Bainbridge sailcloth onboard with Warrior Sailing program

Bainbridge is proud to be associated with the Warrior Sailing program for their 2019 campaign. This program gets wounded/injured veterans out on the water sailing.  Bainbridge first came across this program at the Atlantic Cup in 2016, and discovered immediately what a great group of people they are, working collectively for a great cause – you could see the difference in the vets from the time they first arrived at the dock to when they came back from a sail.

They needed some help in building new sails for the boat and they approached our company asking if we could help in any way or guide them.  After discussions from our management team, Bainbridge donated AIRX cloth for them to make a spinnaker, and supplied HMT laminates to build a mainsail.

CEO Mike Cuscia said “This is a great program trying to help those who were injured by putting themselves in harm’s way for us and our country. It is an honor to be associated with such a program and such people.”

Please take a few minutes to watch the video below. Thank you all for your passion for Bainbridge and for Sailing and Boating.

Plastimo & Karver Onboard Girafon

Heres a look at the stern of “GIRAFON” which will be competing in the 50th running of the Transpac Yacht Race kicking off July 10th 2019. This Figaro Beneteau 3 will be skippered by a great customer of ours, Charlie Deveneaux of Naos Yachting.

Keeping the crew’s safety at the forefront during this California to Hawaii race, this boat features a Plastimo Life Sling and a 4 Person Transocean ISO ISAF Raft. On the performance side, this 31-foot racing yacht is fitted with Karver’s popular KJ15 High Load Jammers.

The team here at Bainbridge wish Charlie favorable winds for the course as she attempts to win her class, and maybe the event overall!
